Volunteer for an EABOR Committee

Committees are the heart of every REALTOR® Association. The members that serve provide the talent and expertise that makes us successful. You can make a difference by becoming part of the EABOR leadership team by serving on a committee this year.

The purpose of the Community Outreach Committee is to evaluate, recommend, and organize projects to benefit the community and enhance the image of REALTORS®. Vets and recommends beneficiaries of all EABOR fundraising. Selects community service activities for REALTORS® to volunteer time and/or donate items in need (Meets as needed).


The purpose of the Governmental Affairs Committee is to encourage the communication of information and education necessary for Board political education programs for members, assure all members know of such local, state and federal governmental activities that affect the real estate industry, and encourage, and promote the political involvement of members.  The committee is responsible for RPAC fundraising events as approved by the Board of Directors or CEO. Any candidate requesting EABOR endorsement and/or support, or wishing to place candidate/election information on EABOR property, must submit their request in writing.  Requests will be taken before the Board of Directors for review. The Governmental Affairs Committee is composed of EABOR REALTORS®. (Meets as needed). REALTORS ONLY.


The purpose of the Grievance Committee is to review ethical complaints and requests for arbitration to determine if, taken as true on their face value, a hearing is to be warranted.  The committee shall follow the procedures as set forth in the National Association of REALTORS® Professional Standards Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.  Committee members will remain unbiased, fair, and impartial in all proceedings and decision-making.  Each member sitting on this committee shall attend an Approved Training Course each year.  Grievance Committee reviewing panels shall be composed of not less than three (3) members of the committee and shall not be related or a member of the same office. The Grievance Committee is composed of EABOR REALTORS®. (Meets monthly as necessary). REALTORS ONLY. 


The purpose of the Professional Development Committee is to provide professional career development opportunities to enhance the skills, knowledge, and professionalism of all members. (Meets as needed). REALTORS ONLY.


Provides hearing panels as required to hear matters of alleged unethical conduct by members or to provide arbitration to resolve a dispute between REALTOR® principals. Service for two years on Grievance Committee is a prerequisite. Annual training is required. Three-year term. (Meets as selected for a hearing panel). REALTORS ONLY.


The purpose of the YPN is to help young real estate professionals become more business savvy and gain new business by providing networking, leadership, and volunteer opportunities to support career development. (Meets monthly)


The purpose of the Affiliate Business Partner Committee is to plan for an annual trade show and to provide insight into growing networking opportunities.
